Professional Experience
Alexa is currently with NBC Sports Bay Area & California as a programming coordinator. She is responsible for maintaining the reporting for all programming and ratings. She assists in the execution of all programming schedules in collaboration with the rest of the programming team.
Alexa previously worked as the sports marketing associate for Pando, a fin-tech startup in San Francisco. She managed Pando’s sports social media accounts and created unique content for Pando’s baseball division. She worked collaboratively with the rest of the marketing department to shape the voice of Pando Sports and its social media accounts. Alexa spearheaded the video testimonial campaign project and the client blog series.
Other previous roles include the social media correspondent for the CBS 11 Pep Rally segment at CBS DFW and internships with TCU Athletics, and CBS 2 Los Angeles.
College Experiences
During Alexa’s first year at TCU, she joined the athletic department as a social media intern. She worked mainly with the TCU football team working on content strategy and production for recruiting and in-season content. During her four years, she also worked with the baseball and men's basketball teams, executing in-game social strategy.
Alexa joined TCU360, TCU's student media, her sophomore year as a multimedia reporter. She covered athletics, including the equestrian and baseball teams. As a Line Editor her junior year, she worked with reporters to edit their content for publishing. With her skills in social media, Alexa assisted the Audience Engagement Editor with crafting social media posts for TCU360’s accounts.
After studying abroad in Rome in the spring of her junior year, Alexa returned to TCU360 as the Audience Engagement Editor. She oversaw the audience engagement team, amplified coverage on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and managed the posting schedule for each platform. She also joined the News Now team, where she anchored, wrote, produced and created packages for TCU360's weekly newscast.
During her time at TCU, Alexa was a team member of two journalism projects. The first one was partnered with the Center for Strategic and International Studies in 2018. Ten journalism students, including Alexa, were selected for the CSIS journalism practicum program. They created a multimedia project on Russia's involvement in the 2016 election. Alexa also worked with the Washington Post in fall 2018 on their Instagram project, Campus 2018. Alex and a fellow journalism student partnered covered how the elections were impacting campus life. In TCU's segment, they focused on how students found their own political voice amid the Senate race between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Tex.).
Alexa graduated as an Honors Laureate in May 2020 from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a minor in Spanish.

A little about Alexa
Alexa was born in Sydney, Australia and raised in Orange County, California with her parents. She has a close-knit extended family and credits her cousins for teaching her about sports.
Alexa is a sportsaholic, who grew up watching and playing sports. She loves cheering on her favorite teams all year long, including the San Francisco Giants, the 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. Alexa enjoys being an active member of her community, volunteering when she can in many capacities. She is a disciplined, positive person with a strong work ethic, communication skills and a desire to achieve. She enjoys her time in California, but loves to travel across the country and world. Her favorite spot is Italy, after living there for five months.
Alexa has a passion for her family, friends, philanthropy, sports and her Horned Frogs.
